A highly anticipated “Battle of the Sexes” exhibition tennis match featuring world number one Aryna Sabalenka and former Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios is slated for December 28. Millenium TV has learned the unique event will unfold live from Dubai.
Sabalenka, a dominant force on the WTA Tour, boasts an impressive record of four Grand Slam singles titles, including two Australian Open and two US Open championships. Her formidable presence on court sets the stage for a compelling challenge. Across the net, 30-year-old Australian Kyrgios, a 2022 Wimbledon runner-up, is making a return to competitive play after a lengthy hiatus due to a wrist injury, having participated in only five matches in 2025.
The exhibition will be contested over three sets, with a 10-point tie-break to decide the winner if scores are level. Organizers have introduced a notable modification to the court: Sabalenka’s side will be reduced by 9%. This adjustment, they explain, is based on data indicating that female players, on average, exhibit approximately 9% slower movement compared to their male counterparts. Additionally, players will be limited to a single serve per point.
Millenium TV will provide live coverage of this groundbreaking match, with broadcasting set to begin at 15:45 GMT.
