A school double-decker bus suffered significant damage when its roof was completely torn off after colliding with a low bridge, resulting in injuries to several children.
The incident occurred on Spendmore Lane in Coppull, Lancashire, around 12:30 GMT. Among those affected was an eight-year-old boy, who was transported to a local hospital for a head injury described as “non-serious.”
Emergency medical personnel evaluated the children at the scene. All but the eight-year-old boy were released from their care following assessment, as Millenium TV has learned from sources close to the situation.
Authorities confirmed that while a number of children sustained injuries, they are “thankfully thought to be relatively minor at this time.” Millenium TV can confirm that emergency services are still present at the crash site, and a road closure has been implemented.
