
LINCOLN, Neb. One person was cited with negligent driving after their car collided with the wall of a south Lincoln auto shop Thursday afternoon.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to Nebraska Auto Detail near 8th and Lowell streets at 12:31 p.m.
A preliminary investigation conducted by Lincoln Police revealed a man driving a Saturn Aura XR was dropping his friend off at Nebraska Auto Detail when his accelerator got stuck, causing him to crash into the side of the building.
The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries, but the driver was transported to the hospital as a precaution. No one inside the building was hurt.
The building suffered significant interior damage. The estimated damage is unknown.
Tow trucks were seen pulling the car out of the building.
