Iran War Day 120: Tehran Condemns US Strikes, US Targets Iranian Military Sites

On the 120th day of conflict, Tehran has strongly condemned the recent US airstrikes, declaring that the actions violate the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two nations. The escalation in hostilities comes as the US reported targeting several Iranian missile and drone storage facilities in the region, aiming to curb Tehran’s military capabilities.

The US military stated that these strikes were precise retaliations against assets that posed significant threats to regional stability and US interests. They emphasized that their operations specifically focused on Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) sites believed to be involved in storing advanced weaponry, particularly missiles and drones designed for offensive use.

In response, the IRGC announced that it had launched counter-attacks targeting multiple US military locations across the Middle East. These retaliatory strikes signify a further intensification of the ongoing conflict and raise concerns over potential broader escalation between the two powers.

Iranian officials assert that the US strikes breach established agreements intended to manage tensions and prevent conflict escalation. They see the US actions as aggressive moves that undermine diplomatic efforts and regional peace.

The international community has expressed alarm over the increasing violence and the risk it poses to regional security. Diplomats are urging both Tehran and Washington to engage in dialogue to de-escalate tensions and honor existing agreements.

The conflict, now in its 120th day, continues to disrupt stability in the Middle East. Civilian populations remain at risk as military engagements intensify, and humanitarian concerns grow.

Observers note that the violation of the MoU by the US may complicate future diplomatic negotiations and hinder any progress towards peace. Tehran’s condemnation reflects its determination to resist what it perceives as American aggression.

Meanwhile, the US insists its operations are defensive and justified by the need to prevent attacks against its forces and allies in the region. The situation remains highly volatile, with both sides poised for further confrontations.

As the war extends into its fourth month, global calls for a ceasefire and renewed diplomatic engagement are gaining momentum. The outcome of these developments will significantly impact the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East and US-Iran relations for years to come.
