In the wake of a tragic mass shooting at a Hanukkah celebration on Sydney’s Bondi Beach that claimed at least 15 lives, including a child and a rabbi, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced plans to introduce tougher national gun control measures. The incident has also sparked criticism from Jewish leaders who question whether sufficient measures have been taken to combat rising antisemitism in Australia.
