Pakistan-Afghanistan Live Conflict: Islamabad Declares ‘Open War’ and Jets Attack Kabul

Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated sharply as both nations have declared full military operations amid intensifying border clashes. Pakistani jets have reportedly launched attacks on Kabul, signaling a significant increase in the hostilities between the neighboring countries.

The conflict began with a series of confrontations along the volatile border area, which has long been a point of contention due to security concerns, refugee flows, and militant activities. Islamabad’s announcement of an ‘open war’ marks one of the most severe responses in recent years, underscoring the severity of the situation.

Afghan officials have also responded with declarations of military operations against Pakistani forces, further intensifying the conflict. Both countries accuse each other of violating border agreements and supporting militant groups that destabilize respective regions.

The situation has raised serious international concerns about regional stability, especially given the history of complex relations involving Afghanistan, Pakistan, and various insurgent groups within their borders. Diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions have thus far been unsuccessful, with both sides mobilizing troops and equipment along the border.

Civilian populations in border regions are facing increasing risks as clashes have disrupted normal life, caused casualties, and prompted displacement. Humanitarian agencies have called for restraint and access to provide aid to affected communities.

Military analysts suggest that this open confrontation could lead to prolonged military engagement unless a ceasefire or diplomatic resolution is quickly brokered. The involvement of international partners and organizations could be critical in mediating talks and ensuring that the conflict does not spiral further.

The outlawing of airspace, with Pakistani jets conducting operations over Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, represents an escalation that could potentially draw in other regional actors or complicate international relations further.

As the situation unfolds, the international community is watching closely, urging calm and dialogue to prevent full-scale war that could destabilize South Asia. The coming days will likely be crucial in determining whether this escalation can be contained or will spiral into broader conflict with significant humanitarian and political ramifications.
