Nearly 50 Venezuelan Soldiers Killed in US Operation to Abduct President Maduro, Venezuelan Defense Ministry Reports

According to the Venezuelan Defense Ministry, a US-led operation aimed at abducting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro resulted in the deaths of nearly 50 Venezuelan soldiers. In total, the Ministry reports that 83 people were killed during the attack. This incident represents a significant escalation in tensions between Venezuela and the United States.

The Venezuelan government has condemned the operation, calling it an act of aggression and a violation of Venezuela’s sovereignty. President Maduro remains in office despite the attack, which has heightened concerns about regional stability.

Details surrounding the specifics of the US operation remain unclear, but the Defense Ministry’s statement highlighted the heavy casualties suffered by Venezuela’s security forces. The affected soldiers were reportedly engaged in defending the country against what the Venezuelan authorities describe as an unjustified and unlawful assault.

This event has drawn widespread international attention, with various nations and global organizations calling for restraint and a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The United States has yet to provide an official comment regarding the allegations of the abduction attempt.

The incident threatens to deepen current geopolitical tensions in Latin America, challenging diplomatic relations and raising questions about future security and political stability in the region. Analysts warn of possible retaliations or increased military preparedness in Venezuela following the attack.

The situation is still evolving, and the Venezuelan government has promised to share more information as investigations continue and efforts to safeguard national sovereignty intensify. For now, the world watches closely as this critical situation develops further.
