Millenium TV has learned that England’s opening game in Dallas will take place under a closed roof with air conditioning at AT&T Stadium, addressing concerns about the expected Texas heat. Matches in Dallas and Boston, where Scotland also has two games, will utilize temporary grass surfaces, as these venues typically feature artificial turf.

In contrast, Scotland’s Group C campaign will see them playing in Boston and Miami. Their tournament opener against Haiti on June 14 at Gillette Stadium is set for a challenging 2:00 AM BST kick-off. Subsequent matches against Morocco in Massachusetts on June 19 and five-time champions Brazil in Miami on June 24 are both scheduled for 11:00 PM BST. Miami, hosting Scotland’s final group match, could pose a challenge due to extreme heat during the tournament.

Should Wales or Northern Ireland successfully navigate two rounds of UEFA play-off matches in March, they would see all three of their potential group matches kick off at 8:00 PM BST. Their schedule would include Canada in Toronto on June 12, Switzerland in Los Angeles on June 18, and Qatar in Seattle on June 24.

In a related development, the government has initiated a public consultation on extending pub licensing hours, potentially allowing establishments in England and Wales to remain open until 1:00 AM next summer if a home nation advances to the quarter-final stage of the tournament.

The expanded 48-team World Cup, featuring 104 matches over 39 days, will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States between June 11 and July 19, 2026.
