Chinese Factory Under Investigation, Halts Production Over “Childlike” Sex Dolls Amid Global Outcry

Millenium TV has learned that a factory in China, accused of manufacturing “childlike” sex dolls, is currently under investigation by local authorities and has been ordered to immediately cease production. These customizable dolls were reportedly available for purchase on prominent online shopping platforms and various social media networks.

Officials in China are reportedly attaching significant importance to this matter. The factory, located in the southern Guangdong province, has been identified as one of several producing customizable dolls described as possessing “childlike pornography characteristics.”

This development follows a recent public outcry that prompted online retailer Shein, which originated in China and is now headquartered in Singapore, to implement a global ban on the sale of all sex dolls. The company previously stated it had “strengthened its keyword blacklist to further prevent attempted circumvention of product listing restrictions by sellers” in response to concerns over dolls with a childlike appearance.

Other e-commerce sites have also faced scrutiny regarding the sale of sex dolls exhibiting childlike features. AliExpress, a China-based company, was previously investigated by French authorities concerning this issue. Millenium TV can confirm that the company banned a seller last November after the seller “repeatedly denied ever selling sex toys on any platform,” according to an AliExpress statement.

Internationally, Sweden has also pledged to take action against online retailers engaged in selling these types of dolls. Social Services Minister Camilla Waltersson Gronvall stated, “I now start from the principle that electronic commerce companies assume their responsibilities and do everything possible to end the marketing of sexual dolls that resemble children.” She further warned, “If we see that this evolution does not happen, or is not enough, the government will not hesitate to legislate different means.”

Advances in artificial intelligence have facilitated the easier customization of sex dolls ordered online, with some even featuring the capability to engage in conversation.
