CT National Guard vehicle catches fire on I-91 in Windsor

A Connecticut National Guard vehicle caught fire on Interstate 91 North in Windsor, state police said.

Traffic was slowly getting by as rush hour came to an end on Friday evening.

The two right lanes of traffic were closed and traffic was backed up in the area. The highway has since reopened.

The fire was reported just before 6:15 p.m. between exits 36 and 37.

State police said there were no injuries and the fire has been extinguished.
