HADDAM, CT — One person died and another two were injured in a head-on crash Tuesday morning, NBC CT reported.
Crews responded to the accident at the intersection of Saybrook Road/Route 154 and River Road in Haddam at 6:30 a.m.
Fire officials said one person was declared dead at the scene, according to WTNH News-8. Two others were transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Both lanes of Route 154 were closed while police investigated. It’s unclear when the road will reopen.
