
JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), says that two teenagers were killed during a crash on Sunday.
ALEA says that a 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 left the roadway and hit a tree around 12:20 pm. According to troopers, an unnamed 17-year-old was killed. Also, 19-year-old Andrew Turner, of Dutton, was killed during the crash.
Neither teen was using a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.
All lanes are back open after a crash shut down AL-40 near the 1-mile marker.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office described the incident as “severe.”
